Titan is one of the strongest yet simplest Ascendancies to play as a league starter, capable of tearing through the campaign with ease. This guide breaks down how to build and play a Titan Stampede Slam in Path of Exile 2.
Why Use Titan Stampede Slam
Titan is a powerful and durable class in PoE 2, capable of absorbing heavy damage while dealing massive AoE damage with the right skills. If you are looking for an easy and effective league starter, this build is a great option to consider.
The core gameplay revolves around using Stampede as your primary attack, while combining it with Boneshatter and Rolling-Slam to finish off enemies. Thanks to the Hulking Form passive, Titan can tear through both mobs and bosses with ease.
Early Progression Guide
As I mentioned before, Warrior is a really strong, reliable, and easy-to-play class that can clear maps and bosses quickly, making it an excellent league starter.
The overall gameplay is simple: use Rolling-Slam, then follow up with Boneshatter or Mace-Strike. That should be enough to finish off most enemies.
One thing to keep in mind is that you can animation cancel the second swing of Rolling-Slam with Boneshatter. If you have socketed Impact-Shockwave into it, this combo can deal massive AoE damage early on.
If you are dealing with large groups of enemies, using Infernal-Cry and Earthquake before engaging works very well, even against bosses.
For skills, make sure to take Fire-Attunement for Rolling-Slam as soon as you get an Uncut Support Gem Level 1. Then prioritize Rapid Attacks for Mace Strike, followed by Fist of War for Rolling-Slam.
As soon as you get Herald-of-Ash buff, activate it, as it will greatly improve your ability to clear groups of enemies.
For your armor, make sure you are using Strength-based gear, as it provides the highest amount of armor throughout your progression. Prioritize Maximum Life bonuses first to make your character even harder to kill.
This build utilizes a Greatclub, so make sure to buy one early or switch to it as soon as it becomes available.
Use Iron Rings to further increase your Physical Damage, and use any Amulet for now, as it will not matter much at this stage.
Mid Campaign Progression
Once you get Leap-Slam at level 22, you can switch to it from Rolling-Slam. Not only does it deal more damage, but it also provides better mobility and is easier to combo with Boneshatter. However, it is still best to keep Rolling-Slam for boss fights, just reassign it to another button.
Don't forget to keep utilizing Infernal-Cry, as it is one of the key skills in this build for increasing overall damage output.
Your armor priority remains the same: get as much Armor as possible and prioritize Maximum Life as a stat. However, this is also a good time to start socketing Lesser Runes to increase your elemental resistances.
Late Campaign Progression
By the time you reach Act 4, you should have already unlocked Stampede. This skill now becomes your primary DPS and initiation tool.
The combo remains largely the same: use Stampede to charge into the heart of battle, activate Infernal-Cry, then finish enemies off with Boneshatter or Leap-Slam.
Forge-Hammer is also an excellent skill for clearing mobs and dealing massive damage to bosses. Just make sure to throw the hammer before activating Infernal-Cry so that it can be detonated for maximum damage.
Once you reach level 52, you will unlock Hammer-of-the-Gods, which becomes your primary finisher.
Your combo should look something like this:
Forge Hammer > Stampede > Infernal Cry > Leap Slam > Hammer of the Gods
Your armor priorities remain the same. However, at this stage, it is important to improve your elemental resistances and Rune Ward. You can also equip Prismatic-ring to further boost your elemental resistance.
Endgame Build
In the late game, your skill rotation is similar to what you used during the later stages of the campaign, with Stampede serving as your main DPS skill alongside Forge-Hammer and Hammer-of-the-Gods. However, you can now add Ancestral-Cry into the rotation if you have enough Glory.
Support Gems become especially important at this stage, so try to acquire all the gems mentioned in the build planner. One notable gem is Zerphi's Infamy. While it increases the Glory requirement, it significantly boosts the skill's AoE and damage, making it well worth considering.

The Blood Magic passive removes mana costs and converts all mana usage into life costs. This is optional, but if you do not want to worry about mana management, it is a solid choice. Just make sure you have enough life leech to sustain it.
For armor, the priority remains the same: aim for the highest Armor values possible while also stacking Maximum Life and Elemental Resistance. Additional % Armor modifiers will further improve your survivability.
That's it! With its simple playstyle and easy gearing requirements, the Titan Stampede Slam build can tear through the campaign and remains one of the best league starters in the PoE 2 0.5 update.
